Thursday 27th April

Group 1 & 2: You had 10 or 15 spellings over Easter to practise. You have one more week to practise these and will be tested next Wednesday.

Group 3: Your spellings will be set separately in your homework diaries.

You also need to continue practising your maths passports targets.

Year 5: Write a paragraph to recommend your favourite book to a partner. You will need to think about: What do you like about it? Who is your favourite character? Remember to give reasons why you like it. You want to try and encourage others to read it. You have two weeks to complete this.

Year 6: Mrs Turner talked to you about your test pack, if you have any left to do from the pack that you were given over Easter then you need to continue with this and show Mrs Turner next week. If you finished this, you can take another test pack and complete/start one of the reasoning papers.

Homework Thursday 6th April

Group 1 & 2: You will have your own personal spellings to take home and practise over half term. Please remember to take your list home with you, I will give it to you by the end of Friday 7th April.

Group 3: Your spellings will be set separately in your homework diaries.

You also need to practise your maths passports targets. There will be an assessment in the first week back.

Year 6: Mrs Turner talked to you about your test pack, take this home and do what you can. Everyone may want to practise it differently and some may do more than others.

Year 5s: 100 word challenge

Use the picture below and think about the following questions before writing your 100 words.

  • What happened to the moon, clouds and stars?
  • How did it happen?
  • How are the animals involved?
  • What time of year is it? How do you know?
  • How might the moon be returned to the sky?

Homework Thursday 23rd March

Group 1 & 2: thorough, twelfth, variety, vegetable, vehicle, yacht, accommodate, purposeful, resolution, necessary

Group 3: Your spellings will be set separately in your homework diaries.

Note: You will be tested on these spellings the week after you return home from Morfa Bay (Wednesday 5th April)

You also need to practise your maths passports targets. Hopefully some of you have moved on again after this week’s assessment.

Year 5 & 6: Have the best time at Morfa Bay. Take lots of photos, be good, challenge yourselves, smile lots, help each other and build memories together that will last a life time.

Sorry I can’t be there to share it with you.

Everyone: 100 word challenge… In 100 words, describe what your favourite lesson/subject is in school. Can you persuade me to have this particular lesson in school every day? You may like to write about:

What it is?

Why it is your favourite?

What specifically you like about it?

Has it always been something that you have enjoyed?

What are the educational benefits of this lesson?

Does it involve use of our secrets of success?
